Updating Deal Stages & Pipelines with Active Workflows – Impact on Contacts in Delay?

Hi everyone,


I’m in the process of updating my deal stages and pipelines in HubSpot. Currently, these pipelines and stages are being used in several workflows.


Here’s my situation:




  • I have almost 2,000 contacts currently enrolled in a workflow delay action.




  • After the delay, the workflow has actions that reference deal stages/pipelines.




  • I need to update my deal stages and pipelines, and also adjust the workflows accordingly.




My questions are:




  1. If I update the deal stages and pipelines (and make changes in the workflows), will the contacts who are currently in a delay step be affected once they move forward?




  2. Can I safely add or modify actions that come after the delay, or will this cause issues for the contacts already enrolled?



  3. Additionly, i was facing an error that “too many contacts enrolled” but now it is not being showed.


Any insights or best practices would be greatly appreciated!
