We’re working on a project to standardize and automate the Primary Contact label for companies in HubSpot. Currently, the Primary Contact is manually assigned, and we want to confirm whether maintaining a one-to-one Primary Contact per company is considered best practice.
We also want to identify the best criteria to auto-assign the Primary Contact (Using workflow with support of custom code) using sales engagement data. Based on our initial review, we’re considering the following fields:
- Number of sales activities
- Number of times contacted
- Recent sales email replied date
- Last activity date
- Recent sales email open date
We’d love to hear how other teams define or automate their Primary Contact logic.
